Melissa Aldana: A Rare Talent on The Saxophone

Have you all checked out Melissa Aldana yet? If you haven’t you should do yourself a favor and check out one of the most exciting young tenor players on the scene today. This is one of my favorite videos of her playing with her trio. Check out other videos of her and her fantastic bands. There are plenty of them!

Her sound is so unique and refreshing, if this is the standard that younger players coming out of school are setting, we are in for some good years ahead in the jazz world!
