Episode 39We’re back after a brief hiatus! This week we are going to start a 2 part series on one of the most confusing and difficult chords in jazz for most people; the diminished chord. We see this chord in so many tunes but I think for many beginner and intermediate jazz players, this chord can be a mystery. That’s why I have decided to break it down first with the chord tones and next week we will talk about the scales.

At the end of the episode we will apply the diminished chord tones to the blues and immediately start using it in action. Make sure you grab the PDF below and get ready to be able to FINALLY play over those diminished chords you see everywhere!
